Snapdrop (“Snapdrop”, “we”, “us”) provides software for event photographers to collect guest photos and videos. This policy explains what we process when you use our service. Operator details: Imprint.

Who is responsible

For your Snapdrop account (login, billing, support), Snapdrop is the data controller. The photographer or studio that creates an event is the data controller for guest uploads collected through their event link. Snapdrop acts as a processor hosting that content on their behalf.

Data we collect

  • Photographer accounts: email, business name, password (hashed), subscription and usage data.
  • Guest uploads: photos, videos (on Pro and Studio plans), optional guest name, upload metadata (file type, size, time). Guests do not create accounts.
  • Technical data: IP address and request logs for security, rate limiting, and abuse prevention.

How we use data

  • Provide upload links, dashboards, slideshows, and downloads for photographers.
  • Enforce plan limits, media retention, and fair use.
  • Process payments via Stripe.
  • Monitor errors and protect the platform (e.g. Sentry).

Subprocessors

We use trusted providers to run Snapdrop:

  • Supabase — database and authentication
  • Cloudflare R2 — media file storage
  • Vercel — application hosting
  • Stripe — payments
  • Sentry — error monitoring (when enabled)
  • Upstash — rate limiting (when enabled)

Retention

Guest media is deleted automatically after the retention period for the photographer's plan (counted from the event date). See our fair use policy for plan details. Account data is kept while your subscription or active pass is active and as required for legal obligations.

Your rights (EEA / UK)

Depending on your role, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data. Guests should contact the photographer who ran the event. Photographers can contact us at [email protected] or use dashboard tools to manage events and media.

Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage for authentication sessions. We do not use advertising cookies on the core product.
